January, 2012 – URS/CH2M Oak Ridge, LLC (UCOR) awards VAS a staff augmentation Blanket Agreement for staffing Administrative and Professional Services and Engineering and Support Services at the Eastern Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP). Base period is through September, 2013, with three (3) Option Periods through July, 2016.

September, 2011 – SRR awards VAS a new Basic Ordering Agreement to support Design Engineering on the SRS Liquid Waste Contract with a period of performance from September, 2011 – August, 2013. VAS was one of only 2 companies retained from the original BOA.

August, 2011 – VAS establishes Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) Services division to assist commercial nuclear utilities and DOE facilities dedicate components for use in safety related equipment and systems. Steve Ericson brings his 16 years of experience to lead VAS’s CGD efforts.

August, 2011 – SRR awards VAS a Basic Ordering Agreement to support Supply Chain Services with Procurement support services on the SRS Liquid Waste Contract with a period of performance from August, 2011 – October, 2014.

April, 2011 – SRNS, LLC awards VAS a Basic Ordering Agreement for Professional Staff Augmentation Support for the period April, 2011 – April, 2016. VAS achieves milestone as the largest provider of Design Engineering Support Services to SRNS.

June 1, 2007: U.S. Department of Energy Savannah River Operations Office of Safeguards, Security and Emergency Services awards a multi year contract to VAS to provide Technical support Services, including: Safeguards and Security; Nuclear MaterIals Control and Accountability; Information Technology; and Emergency Management.

January, 2007: Mike Wade (Merrick & Company) joins VAS Board of Directors. Mike's 20 years environmental and engineering experience adds value to VAS's business development and strategic planning initiatives.

December, 2006: Scott Davies joins VAS to lead our Nuclear Materials Disposition Strategies Program. Scott is currently providing expert-level programmatic and technical advisory support for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Nuclear Materials Integration and DOE-SR by characterizing DOE special nuclear material (SNM) inventories and developing integrated program plans for consolidation/disposition options.
